Glastonbury selected for UK release of record

A concert in Glastonbury this month launches a CD of English songs, including some seldom heard works by Rutland Boughton, the composer who made his name in Glastonbury in the 1920s.

Louise Mott (mezzo soprano) and Alexander Taylor (piano) will perform a programme of English songs -- some familiar and some less familiar -- at St John's Church on Saturday September 24 at 7:30pm.

Tickets are available at the door or from Glastonbury Music Shop (5 Benedict Street, phone 83 5212) at 10 each (8 concessions).

Copies of the new CD will be on sale at the concert.

The event is presented jointly by Avalon Music and the Rutland Boughton Music Trust.
